Ben Tyler

Ben Tyler has been playing professionally since he was 15 years old and teaching since he was 18 and worked as a freelance drummer in his hometown Albuquerque, New Mexico and later in Phoenix, AZ. He has done extensive touring throughout the U.S. and has appeared in numerous publications including Downbeat magazine. He received the Jazz Bird Scholarship at ASU in Tempe, AZ where he studied drum set and Latin percussion as well as piano and music theory.

Ben believes in encouraging each students’ creativity and individuality while teaching them reach their full potential as musicians.
