Ethan Borshansky

Ethan Bio

With a degree from the Eastman School of Music and early studies at the Walden School for Composers and Manhattan School of Music, Ethan Borshansky has been composing, playing, and studying music for fifteen years.

Ethan enjoys teaching music to beginner and intermediate students in a fun and approachable style. In all lessons, he incorporates musicianship in a way that people can understand it and apply it to their musical development and fulfillment.

For lessons in composition, Ethan welcomes students who are just beginning to translate musical ideas into staff notation, as well as more advanced students who are looking to deepen their skills in composition, theory, orchestration and harmony. For violin lessons, he typically gives students weekly exercises in addition to music that really interests them so that studying is never dull, but rather fun and musical.

He also has a strong background in computer music and is able to cater lessons in music production and electronic music to the styles and ambitions of the student.
