Noah Beck

Noah began playing the guitar at age 14, studying with the late, Northwest guitar legend Bob Simmons. After graduating High School, he attended Southern Oregon University for two years, studying guitar and music.
In 2000, he moved to Moscow, Idaho, and began studying at the Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho. There he studied from 2000-2005, when he graduated with a degree in Guitar Performance. Courses/Ensembles that he participated in there included Jazz Band I, Jazz Choir, Music Theory, Jazz Theory, Ear Training, Guitar Pedagogy, Music and Civilization, and many others.
During this time, he co-founded seminal Moscow, Idaho-based band Oracle Shack, touring extensively throughout the Northwest. They have had the privilege of sharing the stage with such acts as Blues Traveler, Bernie Worrell, Taarka, Flowmotion, Eleven Eyes, Darin Schaffer, Free Peoples, and many others. Noah has also released two solo CD’s and has been teaching guitar lessons for the last 5 years.
