Starfish Studios Summer Recital!
The summer recital was a huge success this year. Students of Yascha Noonberg, Marilee Hord, and Noah Beck performed for a full house at Imbibe on SE Hawthorne.
The recital lasted two hours and featured students from the ages of 6 up to 60. Some highlights included a 6 year old pianist performing "Victor's Piano Solo" from Tim Burton's "The Corpse Bride" composed by Danny Elfman, the Starfish Studios Youth Rock Band performing songs by Nirvana and Angels and Airwaves, and a group of Yascha's students performing Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times" note for note! The Tuesday night Jazz Workshop also performed several tunes including a Bossa arrangement of "All of Me."
The next recital is currently scheduled for November 15th, 2008.
